So I got pickpocketed on last week during my Spanish tutoring. I was in the Loop (downtown Chicago) at Argo Tea. Some one stole my wallet and went on a shopping spree across the street at Macy's and then used my gift cards to get a classy dinner at McDonalds. And if I didn't have enough to do, now I have to replace everything that was stolen. Fortunately, my debit card wasn't in my pocket so I have money and the credit cards protect me from those purchases. I actually got out lucky!
Subleting my room is proving to be far more difficult then I had originally thought. I'm even offering to pay a portion of the rent for the remainder of the lease!
Work is nuts...so much to do before my last day on the 5th! And so much of what I still need to do for the Peace Corps is stuff I have to do during work hours. And my evenings are so busy with everything else!

It was a great day in Springfield for the celebration of Jennie's life. How neat to have you Skyped in. Jennie looked beautiful. Rose colored dress, crystal beads, pink lipstick, Jennie hair, hands holding a red rose. Very peaceful and natural looking. Family and friends filled the parlor. Your mom did fine. I know she has a lot on her shoulders right now and she misses you so much! Especially in crisis mode But, getting to go visit you in a couple weeks sure brings a smile to her face. Ryan looks good. I miss all of you in my life daily. We are true friends for life. Good to visit w the Arnishs today too. They are good folk. Ke and I went...Co and Ka had to work. They are both fine. Co is working at Fed Ex waiting for the Marines to call him up for training. Ka is working 2 jobs...Mooresville Park Preschool camp each morning, serving at Stonecreek 40 hrs a week. She makes good cash! Co has girl, Nicole, Ka no special guy. Just lots of friends, male/female/gay/straight! Good people tho...I think. Take care of yourself, girlfriend. I love you Miss Leah.
